Hi, I'm Xia!

My path into UX began in museums, not tech.

For nearly a decade I was an Exhibition Project Manager at Hunan Museum, one of China's eight national museums and the 13th most-visited in the world. I designed how millions of visitors moved through and made sense of complex material — 130+ exhibitions, and 100,000+ visitor surveys to understand how people actually behave. That's experience design, just in physical space.

When I moved to the US, I brought that foundation into digital product design, focusing on AI tools and accessibility — making complex, data-heavy products feel clear and usable. I later earned a master's in Computer Science, which helps me collaborate closely with engineers and hold my own in technical conversations while advocating for users.

I care most about work where design meets real human need. If that's the kind of problem you're solving, I'd love to talk.
